Fingerless Gloves – more practical than you’d think!

One of my grand Christmas schemes was to knit fingerless gloves for everyone. I chose a pretty simple, yet striking pattern, Herringbone Slouch by  Canary Knits, (a truly ambitious knitwear designer).  But did not make enough. In fact, I only made three pairs.

Hairy Bear, Prairie Bear and Mary Bear!

The pattern is quite dizzying, and I had to rip these out several times after. (I’ll save you from another blow-by-blow reknitting saga.) These little thingies are great for a crisp day walking through the woods. Or herring-jiggin’, chantrelle gatherin’, fossil huntin’ , banjo pickin’ and other such dexterous hobbies.
